The family of a 74-year-old woman who died after being hit by a car have paid tribute.
Ruth Taylor, from Fleur de Lis, was killed after being struck by a blue Toyota Yaris on Bryn Road, Ponllanfraith, at around 8.25am on Monday (November 9).
In a statement, Mrs Taylor’s family said: “Ruth was the most loving, loyal and generous mother, nanny, wife, sister and friend there was possible to have.
“She will continue to be a part of us all for the rest of our days.”
Mrs Taylor’s family are being supported by specially trained officers, Gwent Police confirmed.
Police are investigating the incident and have asked motorists who were on the road at the time to check any dash cam footage that may help with enquiries.
