A Markham man has been jailed for a sexual assault carried out at Newport’s Royal Gwent Hospital.
Christian Holley, 46, of Monmouth Walk, Markham, carried out the attack at the hospital on October 11 this year.
Holley admitted the assault and two charges of burglary when he appeared at Newport Magistrates’ Court earlier this month.
The court was told how Holley stole a savings tin from a neighbour’s house in December last year and alcohol from a property on Waun Llwyn Crescent, in Blackwood, in May this year.
Holley was jailed for a total of 12 months – four months for each offence.
He was also ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge – which goes towards funding victim services – and must register as a sex offender for the next seven years.
