A man suffered a fractured jaw after he was attacked by two men near Trecenydd.

The attack happened on the footpath behind The Crescent sometime between 10.30pm and 11.30pm on Saturday, January 30.

Gwent Police has appealed for witnesses to come forward.

The victim, in his 30s, was reportedly walking along the footpath behind the former 49 Club when he was attacked.

He needed hospital treatment for his injuries.

The first suspect has been described as a white man in his mid-20s, 6ft2in tall and of a slim build. He was wearing a light grey hoodie and light grey jogger bottoms.

The second suspect has been described as a white man in his mid-20s, around 5ft9in tall and of a medium build. He was wearing a dark coloured hoodie.

Anyone who saw the attack or has any information about the incident can contact Gwent Police on 101, quoting reference 2100040634. Gwent Police can also be contacted through direct message on Facebook or Twitter.
