An evening with Sam Warburton in Newbridge

Welsh rugby legend Sam Warburton OBE will be at Newbridge Memo on Thursday, October 17.

Dylan and Geraint were two of the 18 competitors chosen to represent Wales in the competition.

Warburton told players: “You’re my adopted team now and I’ll be keeping a close eye on you for the rest of the season.”

The Bulls scored eight tries to send a warning to the rest of the league.

The Keys are now without a win in their first two games in the WRU Championship.

Two tries from No8 Dale Rogers, combined with the boot of Dion McIntosh, saw Bedwas hold on for their third win of the season.

The annual event saw more than 2,500 competitors from 75 different countries take part in a 3.8km swim, a 180km bike ride and a marathon.

Two tries from centre Corey Nicholls and a late try from replacement Ian Newbury sealed a narrow 22-21 win.

Bargoed were beaten at the Talbot Athletic Ground in Port Talbot on Saturday, September 14.

Josh Dunleavy, Liam Jenkins, Rhys Morgans and Owain Keane all scored their first tries for the club.
