Megaday marks its 21st event with one of the biggest shows to date at Caerphilly Rugby Club.
The festival will begin on the Saturday with Megaday Music from the Movies and continue on Sunday with live bands and DJs.
The festival has raised over £274,000 for Velindre Cancer Centre since 1995 and is held in memory of two local musicians, Andrew Nichols and Paul Grahame, who sadly both lost their lives to cancer.
Until his death in 2001, Paul had played at every Megaday with his band PG and the Tips and also played a major role in organising the festival.
Megaday opens on Saturday with Music from the Movies in which your favourite movie songs will be performed on the Megaday stage by 10 singers and over 30 dancers.
On Sunday there will be 12 live bands including the ever popular 4th Street and headliners Best Served Chilled.
Other bands include: Out A Time, Reservoir Wolves, The Guardians of Public Morality, One Track Mind, Sonic Highway, Peacemaker Die, Neon Ballroom, Mad Tom’s Crowd, Artillery and Tab 80.
The weekend will finish with an explosive fireworks display at 10.30pm.
Megaday organiser Peter Hopkins said: “It’s going to be a great weekend, we are aiming to reach the next target of £300,000 raised for Velindre Cancer Centre.
“Megaday relies on the support of the local community, businesses, performers and volunteers and we thank you once again for your continued support.”
Tickets for the Saturday cost £7.50 for adults and £5 for under 16s, available from Megaday.net.
Sunday entry is pay on the gate and costs £10. Under 12s go free.
