A 60-year-old man “remains in a stable but serious condition” in hospital after a crash in Caerphilly town on Saturday (April 10).

The crash, which involved a bicycle and a parked car, happened at around 11.40am on Nantgarw Road.

The road was closed in both directions for two hours following the accident.

A Gwent Police spokesperson said: “A 60-year-old man from Cardiff was taken by ambulance to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff for treatment. He remains in a stable but serious condition.”
