A Llanelli man has been jailed for 11 years after he was found guilty of historic sexual abuse.

Stephen Evans, 58, of Brynrhos, Llanelli, had denied five charges of indecent assault and five charges of indecency with a child and was tried by a jury.

The charges related to sex offences against a child between 1975 and 1983 when he was living in Caerphilly.

Appearing at Cardiff Crown Court on Thursday, June 17, Evans was jailed for a total of 11 years and was ordered to register as a sex offender.
