A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital following an early morning crash between Bargoed and Deri.

Police officers were called to Groes Faen Terrace this morning and closed the road while investigations were carried out. The road has since reopened.

A Gwent Police spokeswoman said: “We got a call at about 5am this morning reporting a road traffic collision on Groes Faen Terrace involving one vehicle – a motorbike.

“The motorcyclist has been taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries. He is stable”
