A 52-year-old man is in a critical but stable condition in hospital after a crash involving a car and two vans.

The collision happened just before 7am on Tuesday, October 26, on Southend Terrace in Pontlottyn.

As well as the 52-year-old man, there were two other people in the car – a black Vauxhall Astra – at the time of the incident.

However, Gwent Police said the two other people left the scene.

The car was travelling towards Bargoed at the time of the collision.

Gwent Police has appealed for witnesses, or anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage, to come forward.

Gwent Police can be contacted on 101, quoting reference 2100375726. Gwent Police can also be contacted through direct message on Facebook or Twitter.
