Covid passes are no longer needed for entry to venues and events in Wales, the Welsh Government has confirmed.
The changes come into force from Friday, February 18 as Covid safety measures continue to be eased in Wales.
Covid passes will no longer be required by law for entry into indoor and outdoor events, nightclubs, cinemas, theatres and concert halls, but events and venues will still be able to ask for them if they decide to.
Merthyr Tydfil and Rhymney Senedd Member Dawn Bowden, who is the Welsh Government’s Deputy Minister for Arts and Sport, said: “When it was introduced, the Covid Pass was part of a suite of measures to give people confidence, keep businesses open and to keep Wales safe.
“I’d like to thank all the sectors for their cooperation and feedback during this challenging time.
“With increasing numbers of people vaccinated and boosted and thanks to the hard work and efforts of everyone across Wales, we are confident that coronavirus rates are falling and we can look forward to brighter times ahead.”
From Monday, February 28, face coverings will no longer need to be worn in most indoor public places. You will still need to wear a mask in shops, on public transport and in hospitals and care settings.
If cases continue to fall, the requirement to wear face masks could completely end by the end of March.
Isolation rules remain in place.
