A drug dealer who was caught with £7,500 worth of crack cocaine has been handed a three-year sentence – half of which will be spent in prison.

Kyle Humphries, 24, of Brynhyfryd, Pontlottyn, pleaded guilty to four charges, including possession of crack cocaine with intent to supply, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and two charges of possessing cannabis.

He appeared at Cardiff Crown Court on March 25, where he was sentenced.

Humprhies’ home was raided by Gwent Police officers on January 26.

PC Rhys Jones, of Gwent Police, said: “Humphries was selling to users on the street and I’m pleased to see him now being jailed for his part in the supply of class A drugs in the south Wales area.

“When he was arrested he had a significant amount of crack cocaine on him, worth thousands of pounds.

“These drugs cause misery across our communities. We won’t tolerate drug dealing and those who are involved can expect to be prosecuted.”
