Natasha Harding scores for Wales against Kazakhstan on her 100th cap

Wales midfielder Natasha Harding will be leaving Reading FC Women at the end of this season, the club has confirmed.

Harding, from Hengoed, recently earned her 100th cap for Wales in a 3-0 World Cup qualifying win over Kazakhstan – an occasion she marked with a goal.

She joined Reading from Liverpool in 2017 and has made 83 league appearances and scored four goals. Harding has also captained the side.

This season, the former Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhymni pupil has featured in every game Reading have played in the Women’s Super League – the top tier of women’s football in England.

Her final game for the club will come against Manchester City on Sunday, May 8.

Harding thanked the club, staff and fans on Twitter and said: “As one chapter ends, I’m extremely excited for my next challenge.

“Mentally and physically I feel the best. It’s been a pleasure.”

Reading manager Kelly Chambers, thanked Harding for her time at the club and said: “She’s been an integral part of the team and been a huge part of our growth as a club.

“Personally I have grown a great relationship with Tash, both personally and professionally, and I’d like to wish her the very best for the future.”
