Ystrad Mynach boxer Lauren Price MBE is gearing up for her third fight since turning professional next month.
Olympic gold medallist Price, 28, will fight Germany’s Naomi Mannes in Paris on Saturday, March 11.
Since signing a pro deal with BOXXER last year, welterweight Price has fought twice – earning two wins in the process.
She won her first clash in June, beating Iceland’s Valgerdur Gudstensdottir with a unanimous points decision at the Wembley Arena.
In October, Price defeated Hungary’s Timea Belik at the O2 Arena in London, earning her first stoppage victory.
The matchup with Mannes will not be Price’s first time fighting in the French capital – it was where she booked her flight for the Tokyo Olympics after winning gold at a European qualification tournament.
Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the bout, Price said her opponent, who recently challenged for the European title, would represent a “step up” but insisted: “I just concentrate on myself.
“I’ve boxed all the way around the world against different styles, but this is what I need – little step ups each time.
“I’m looking forward to putting on a performance.”
