A 93-year-old man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision in Cefn Fforest on Wednesday morning.
The incident happened on Bryn Road at around 8.30am and involved a Honda Jazz and a Volkswagen Transporter van.
Gwent Police attended the incident alongside the Welsh Ambulance Service and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service.
The 93-year-old, who was driving the Honda Jazz, was taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
The road was closed in both directions following the crash, but has since reopened.
