Hefin David is the Labour Senedd Member for the Caerphilly constituency.
I hope everyone has had a happy half-term and managed to have a nice peaceful break over the Easter weekend.
Spring has well and truly sprung and there are lots of fun events coming up to look forward to over the next few months.
It’s wonderful to see that Crafty Legs has been able to expand in to Bargoed after the success the event has seen in Caerphilly.
Beginning with the launch on April 15, 28 stalls will be set up for a fair on the third Saturday of every month, just by Ricci’s café.
Please support local businesses and pay a visit if you can.
I am very much looking forward to judging the Annual Art, Craft and Literature Exhibition 2023, at the Vanguard Centre this month. It is always a lovely event, organised by John and Mair Wade.
I will also be joining councillors Amanda McConnell and Chris Morgan for a surgery at Machen RFC on Friday May 12. We will be available between 12pm and 2pm, so if you have anything you’d like to raise or would just like to say hello, please drop in.
On another note, I would like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to GE Aerospace (Wales) who donated hundreds of easter eggs to community groups, including the following in Caerphilly:
- Food Cooperative, Ystrad Mynach
- Parish Trust, Trethomas
- Aber Valley Food Bank, Abertridwr
- Trinity Fields Special School, Ystrad Mynach
- Caerphilly Miners’ Centre Ukranian Group
Diolch.
