A 30-year-old man was taken to hospital with minor injuries after an assault in Trethomas on Friday June 2.
The incident happened on Heol yr Ysgol around around 3pm.
Gwent Police officers attended alongside staff from the Welsh Ambulance Service.
A Gwent Police spokesperson said: “Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact us on 101 or via direct message on social media quoting reference 2300180492.”
