Grants of up to £30,000 are available

Football clubs across Wales are able to apply for up to £30,000 of funding from the FAW’s Fit for Future Equipment Fund.

The grants are to cover the costs of essential equipment, such as goalposts and pitch maintenance equipment, as well as storage, fencing and environmental projects.

However, the funds can not cover equipment deemed to have a limited life expectancy, such as bibs, cones or balls.

The funding is available through the FAW’s Cymru Football Foundation, which was launched last year with the aim of improving football facilities in Wales.

The closing date for applications is 10pm on Monday July 17.

Meanwhile, the FAW’s Fit for Future Facilities Programme, which is currently closed, will reopen for applications in October. Grants of up to £300,000 are available through this programme to support projects such as grass-pitch improvements and changing room developments.

Visit the Cymru Football Foundation website for more information about the fund and to apply.
