Staff at a Caerphilly-based recruitment firm are close to completing a challenge that has seen them climb 52 mountains in 52 weeks for charity.

Vetro Recruitment has worked alongside anti-bullying charity BulliesOut to raise more than £750 by climbing to the summit of mountains across Wales and England.

BulliesOut works with individuals, schools, and workplaces to help tackle all forms of bullying, as well as providing counselling and teaching.

Since July 2022, 34 staff members at Vetro have been up and down the likes of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), with the final hike up Pen y Fan happening on Sunday July 16.

A spokesperson from Vetro Recruitment said: “We’ve been doing this as a team for the last year but we’d love to invite anyone and everyone to join us on the last climb.

“We’ve seen some amazing views in the name of a worthwhile charity and we want to make this final hike extra special.”

The group will be meeting between 8.30am and 9am on Sunday July 16 in the car park at the bottom of Pen y Fan.

Visit Vetro Recruitment’s website for information about the challenge and details of how to donate.
