A 79-year-old man has died in a crash on the A465.
The collision took place on the road towards Rhymney and Merthyr Tydfil on Tuesday September 12.
Gwent Police received a report of the incident at around 6.30pm.
A spokesperson for Gwent Police said: “Officers attended, along with paramedics from the Welsh Ambulance Service, Air Ambulance Service and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service.
“A 79-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“Anyone with information, CCTV or dashcam footage, is asked to call 101 or DM us quoting log reference 2300309623, with details.”
Wales Air Ambulance also attended the scene and told Caerphilly Observer: “The Wales Air Ambulance attended an incident on the A465 on Tuesday evening.
“A Critical Care Team from Cardiff attended by air and arrived at the scene at 7.15pm. Our involvement concluded at 7:50pm.”
