Police appeal after 16-year-old injured in moped crash

A 16-year-old boy was taken to hospital with “life-changing injuries” following a crash in Newbridge.

The incident, which happened on Old Pant Road at around 8.20am on Wednesday October 18, involved one moped.

The 16-year-old, who was riding the moped, is in a stable condition in hospital, Gwent Police has confirmed.

Gwent Police officers attended the incident alongside personnel from the Welsh Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance Service.

An investigation into the crash has been launched by police, who are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

Police are also urging anyone with dashcam footage, or anyone who was on Old Pant Road between 8am and 8.20am on the day, to make contact.
