A man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and attempted murder after a car crashed into a tree.

The car crashed on Mountain Road, Caerphilly, at around 9.50am on Wednesday October 25.

The man and a woman were taken to hospital for treatment, Gwent Police confirmed.

The road was closed between its junctions with Warren Drive and Watford Road following the crash, with diversions in place.
