RSPCA Cymru is looking to find the owner of two horses which were rescued from Gelligaer Common.
The grey mare and her brown foal were rescued on Wednesday November 8 due to concerns for their welfare.
Now, the RSPCA is appealing for information to track down their owners.
RSPCA deputy chief inspector Gemma Black said: “The mare has a lump on her face/nose area that requires veterinary treatment and the foal was lame so they were both removed on welfare grounds.
“They are now receiving the veterinary attention they need.”
The horses are due to be moved into the care of horse charity Redwings in the coming days, the RSPCA confirmed.
Ms Black thanked Caerphilly County Borough Council for its help rescuing the horses, and urged anyone with information to contact the RSPCA on 0300 123 8018, quoting 1181562.
