Caerphilly’s WHSmith store has been targeted in a string of burglaries in recent weeks.

Tobacco and e-cigarettes were reportedly stolen during the first break-in at the store, on Castle Court Shopping Centre.

The burglary reportedly happened at around 2am on Monday October 30, with two men forcing their way into the store.

At around 5.40am that same day, another man, believed to be in his 50s or 60s, reportedly entered the shop and took e-cigarettes, scratchcards, chocolates and drinks.

Gwent Police has launched an appeal to find three men who were in the area at the time to help with enquiries.

A third break-in at the store, at around 12.20am on Sunday November 12, has also been reported to Gwent Police, where five people forced their way into the shop and took e-cigarettes, food and drink.

Anyone with information can contact Gwent Police on 101, or through direct message on social media, quoting log references 2300369280, 2300369791, and 2300385359.

Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
