Gerwyn Price’s World Darts Championship campaign will begin in the second round on Saturday December 18.

The full schedule of play for the competition was announced by the PDC on Wednesday November 29.

The annual competition, which is the biggest on the darts calendar, is being held at London’s Alexandra Palace once again this year.

Price, from Markham, will face either Connor Scutt or Krzysztof Kciuk.

2021 world champion Price will go into the competition ranked fifth on the PDC Order of Merit. Englishman Scutt is ranked 71st while Kciuk, from Poland, is ranked 90th.

Scutt and Kciuk face off in the first round on Saturday December 16, with the winner playing against Price two days later.

The tournament gets underway on December 15 and concludes on January 3.
