Bedwas Leisure Centre

Bedwas Leisure Centre has been closed since Wednesday February 7 for “essential maintenance”, but the council hopes it will reopen soon.

Caerphilly County Borough Council was asked by Caerphilly Observer when the leisure centre is expected to reopen. In response, a spokesperson said: “We are working closely with the contractors onsite who are in the final stages of the repair work.

“We hope to be in a position to agree a reopening date in the coming days after meeting with the contractor. We are making every effort to reopen the site as soon as possible.”

The astroturf within the grounds of Bedwas High School remains open.
