A footbridge in Machen will be closed for up six months for repair work, Caerphilly County Borough Council has said.

The Mill Race footbridge, which goes over the River Rhymney, will be closed to the public from Thursday February 22 so the council can remove and replace timber deck boards.

Alternative routes over the adjacent bridge into the estate have been suggested.
