Work will be carried out to fix the broken planter wall at Emporium car park

A car park in Bargoed will be partially closed over the coming weeks while repair works are carried out.

The northern half of Emporium Car Park, off Upper High Street, will be closed from Monday March 4 – with works potentially taking up to eight weeks.

Caerphilly County Borough Council has said the closure will allow a broken planter wall to be fixed.

In a statement, the council said: “To undertake these works safely, the contractor will take possession of the northern section of the car park for the duration of the works.

“The section above the snooker hall will remain open as usual.”
