A Blackwood councillor is aiming to walk the equivalent distance of three marathons this month to raise money for Blackwood Stroke Support Group.

Cllr Andrew Farina-Childs has been making regular trips around Blackwood Showfield – often being joined by members of the community for support.

He is also being supported by residents Geoff Cook and Stuart Davies who are each respectively cycling and rowing the distances.

Cllr Farina-Childs said: “I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone from Blackwood Stroke Support Group who has came out during my charity walks.

“Also, a special thanks to Stuart and Geoff.

“Additionally, I would like to thank Blackwood Bowls Club for their support.”
