Gerwyn Price reached the Premier League Darts final on Night Ten in Manchester
Gerwyn Price reached the Premier League Darts final on Night Ten in Manchester

Gerwyn Price reached his first Premier League Darts final since the opening night as he kept his slender play-off hopes alive in Manchester.

Price opened up against two-time world champion Peter Wright in the quarter-finals on Thursday April 4, winning 6-4 in what was a clash between the bottom two in the Premier League standings.

Price then exacted revenge on 2023 world champion Michael Smith in the semi-finals, winning 6-3 against the man who beat him in the opening night final in Cardiff in February – scoring a nine-darter in the process.

The Iceman produced ton-topping averages in both games as he set up a final encounter with 17-year-old Luke Littler.

However, Price fell to a 6-3 defeat.

It was the second consecutive night win for Littler, who replaces Luke Humphries at the top of the standings.

Premier League Darts heads to Birmingham for Night 11 on Thursday April 11, with Price opening up against Michael Smith.

The Premier League consists of 16 mini-events held across different cities throughout the season, with each league night comprising quarter-finals, semi-finals and a final over the best of 11 legs.

Points will be awarded each night to form the league table, from which the top four players will progress to the play-offs, which will be held at the O2 in London on Thursday May 23.
