A ‘celebration of local enterprise’ will be held at Ffos Caerffili next week, with the aim of showcasing and connecting local businesses.
The event, which is being held on Wednesday July 3, comes as part of a wider series of £275,000 worth of business support being offered across Caerphilly County Borough.
It is being organised by Caerphilly-based TownSq, which runs numerous co-working spaces across Wales and England, and has a stall at Ffos Caerffili.
The event is being run with support from Caerphilly Business Club.
Food and drink from local traders will be available on the day, which organisers say will give businesses and workers a chance to connect in a less formal setting.
Kevin Mansell-Abell, commercial director for TownSq, said: “The business support scheme across Caerphilly has been amazing, and we’ve held more than 50 workshops and events, supporting over 250 businesses so far.
“As we’ve held these we’ve naturally grown the community and there was a feeling that a summer social would be a great way to bring everyone together to spark some social and professional collaborations.

“The old adage of ‘people buy into people’ is true and the best networking and opportunities come through the social aspects of business, be it drinks after work, fun team activities or simply grabbing a bite to eat.
“When people get to know each other and drop the formalities, commonalities emerge – and that’s the essence of community.”
Mr Mansell-Abell continued: “We’d encourage anyone working or running a business in the area to grab a ticket and come down to what promises to be a fantastic event in the sunshine, celebrating the best the region has to offer in the new and vibrant Ffos market.”
The event gets underway at 5.30pm. Visit TownSq’s website to get tickets.
