Members of Caerphilly and District Twinning Association have welcomed thirty Breton visitors as part of an arrangement which has been in place for 30 years.
Caerphilly has been twinned with the town of Lannion, Brittany, since 1991, while Llanbradach has been twinned with Ploubezre, which is about two miles from Lannion, since 1994.
The twinning arrangement, which was set up by the association, sees visitors from both Caerphilly and Brittany visit each other on alternating years.
The visitors were welcomed by community councillor Norma Cabble and Cllr Colin Mann on Friday July 19, and spent four days visiting local attractions such as Big Pit and Blaenavon Heritage Centre.

The group, which ranged in ages according to Cllr Mann, also took part in a skittles competition, before making a stop at the Guardian of the Valleys in Six Bells, near Abertillery, where Dr Mike Griffiths provided a guided tour.
Everyone then headed back to Ystrad Mynach where they visited Shappelles dance studio for entertainment, before travelling down to Cardiff Bay the following day to see the Senedd.
They then met Plaid Cymru Senedd Member Peredur Owen Griffiths, who showed them around the Welsh parliament, before taking to the Taff for a river cruise.
The trip, which is funded through its members, was commemorated with the unveiling of a plaque to celebrate 30 years alongside a Caerphilly Male Voice Choir performance.

Cllr Mann added that a trip to Brittany is already being planned for next year, and that anyone interested in getting involved can contact him on 07500 057096, or secretary Annie Burnell on 07855 125657.
