Heolddu Leisure Centre in Bargoed

Heolddu Leisure Centre in Bargoed is offering a £50 lifeguard training course, which will provide life-saving skills and work opportunities.

The 13-week course will run every Monday starting from October 14, and will provide key training such as CPR and first aid.

The council described the course as a “fantastic opportunity” for those interested in making a significant impact while pursuing a new career path or enhancing their existing skill set.

To take part in the course, candidates must meet the following swimming requirements:

  • Swim 20 metres with a torpedo buoy.
  • Swim 100 metres on back and front continuously.
  • Swim 50 metres in 60 seconds.
  • Tread water for 30 seconds.

Those interested in enrolling in the course are encouraged to act quickly, as spaces are limited.

For more information or to secure a spot, please contact the reception at Heolddu Leisure Centre on 01443 828 950 or by email at lcheol@caerphilly.gov.uk
