Markham’s Gerwyn Price will lock horns with Dutch number two Danny Noppert when the World Grand Prix gets underway next week.
The competition gets underway in Leicester on Monday October 7, and concludes with the final on Sunday October 13.
The full schedule of play is yet to be announced, but the opening round fixtures will be played on the Monday and Tuesday.
Fellow Welshman Jonny Clayton, who won the competition in 2021, opens up against Ritchie Edhouse, while last year’s winner Luke Humphries goes up against Stephen Bunting.
In total, 32 players will compete for the £120,000 top prize.
