Gerwyn Price is through to the second round of the darts World Grand Prix after a dramatic 2-1 victory over Danny Noppert.
Price, from Markham, faced the Dutchman in Leicester on Tuesday October 8, reeling off three straight legs to win in the decisive set.
Price won five of the opening six legs to move to the brink of victory, and although Noppert replied with 126 and 84 finishes on the bull to level, Price battled back to march on in the competition.
Elsewhere, star names Michael van Gerwen, Michael Smith, and Peter Wright were all knocked-out after defeats to Daryl Gurney, Gary Anderson, and James Wade respectively.
The World Grand Prix concludes on Sunday October 13, with a £120,000 prize for the winner.
