Welsh ICE have moved to a new premises on Caerphilly Business Park

Business support hub, Welsh ICE, has celebrated the grand opening of its new headquarters on Caerphilly Business Park.

Just a short walk from its previous base on the business park near Van Road, Welsh ICE will now be housed in Ty Merlin, opposite the soon-to-be-built leisure centre.

Welsh ICE’s new space, designed with sustainability in mind, includes several eco-friendly features, such as rainwater harvesting, triple-glazed windows, thermal insulation, solar shading, and accessible bike racks.

According to Welsh ICE, their new building is the first A-rated building in Wales, meaning it has near zero carbon emissions.

The opening event brought together partners from local business support organisations, council representatives, and ICE’s community of entrepreneurs and small business owners.

CEO Lesley Williams spoke at the launch and said: “Our refreshed brand and new headquarters represent the next chapter in Welsh ICE’s journey.

“Today, we celebrate not only our growth but our ongoing mission to empower and support entrepreneurs at every stage.

“At ICE, we’re building an ecosystem where each member, whether just starting or growing, has access to the support, resources, and connections they need to thrive.”

During the event, guests heard inspiring startup stories from entrepreneurs Natalie Collins, Gass Jarra, and Tom Castle, each sharing their journey and growth with ICE’s support, specifically through its 5-9 Club.

Welsh ICE has served as a catalyst for business growth across Wales since 2012, providing coworking spaces, business support, and training to thousands of entrepreneurs.

Welsh ICE is inviting anyone interested in learning more about entrepreneurship to reach out and explore what’s on offer.
