Primary school pupils in Ystrad Mynach have put their football skills to the test as part of a television gameshow.

Pupils from the Welsh-medium Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Allta will feature in an episode of S4C’s Tekkers, which sees young footballers tackle a range of games and obstacles to showcase their skills and tricks.

The episode will see the pupils compete against children from Newport’s Ysgol Gymraeg Casnewydd, in a series of against-the-clock challenges – with the Tekkers Trophy up for grabs for the winners.

The episode will air on Friday January 31, but will be available online on S4C Clic and BBC iPlayer from Friday December 6.
