Rock music, wedding fairs and Lego. What’s on this weekend and beyond

Friday January 17 

♥️ Caerphilly Players present Alice in Wonderland at Caerphilly Workmen’s Hall at 7pm. Come fall down the rabbit hole for £9.50. Tickets can be found online. 

👑 Supreme Queen will rock Blackwood Miners’ Institute at 7:30 pm. Come relive all the biggest Queen hits for £27. The duration of the show will be 120 minutes approximately and tickets can be purchased online. There is also a show on Saturday January 18.  

 🖌️ Ffos Caerffili is holding a paint a plant pot event from 2pm to 5pm. Tickets are £10 each and can be found online.

👷 Lego Club is at Blackwood Library from 4pm to 5pm. Get creative with your child as they learn, play and socialise. No booking required, and entry is free.

Saturday January 18

🖼️ The Caerphilly Artisan Market returns to the Twyn Community Centre between 10am and 2pm, with free entry. Get delicious food and creative handmade gifts at the market this weekend. 

🎸Whitesnake UK are coming to The Patriot: Home of Rock at 7pm. The Whitesnake tribute band are going to rock Crumlin and you can be there to witness it for £17.50, with members going for free. Tickets are available online. 

Sunday January 19

🍿 Bedwas Workmen’s Hall is holding a movie afternoon. Come watch their screening of The Goonies. Doors open at 1.30pm, and the film starts at 4pm. Tickets are £2.50 each and popcorn is available. You can get your tickets online. 

💍 The Memo Wedding Fair returns to the Newbridge Memo. Do you hear wedding bells? If so, head to the Newbridge Memo between 10am and 3pm. Admission is free, but secure your place online.

🧘 New year, new you? Then head to Caerphilly Miners’ Centre for a New Year Reboot and Recharge. From 1.30pm to 4.30pm you can join in with activities such as yoga, Nordic walking and singing bowls. Tickets are £30 each, if you wish to reserve your place contact 07766 220493. 

Tuesday January 21

💬 Wyt ti’n siarad cymraeg? Rhymney library is hosting a Welsh Talking Cafe from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Entry is free and no booking is required.

Wednesday January 22

🧸 Play date for children aged two and younger is being held at New Tredegar Library from 2pm to 3pm. Bring your toddler to make new friends and socialise while taking part in unstructured play. Entry is free, and no booking is required.
