Gerwyn Price’s Premier League Darts play-off hopes remain strong after reaching the Night 13 semi-finals in Birmingham.

Price, who won last week’s event in Liverpool, faced world number one Luke Humphries in this week’s opening round on Thursday May 1.

It was a repeat of last week’s final, which Price won 6-4.

The Iceman got the better of Humphries once again in Birmingham, coming from behind to win 6-5 and book his place in the semi-finals.

However, Dutchman Michael van Gerwen, who is also in the hunt for a play-off spot, clinched a 6-3 victory over Price, who described his performance as the “worst I’ve played ever”.

Van Gerwen eventually lost to league leader Luke Littler in the final.

Speaking last week, Price said: “Price continued: “I just want to make the top four. It doesn’t matter if I’m first, second, third or fourth, as long as I’m at The O2 in a few weeks. That’s my priority.

Premier League Darts is back for Night 14 in Leeds on Thursday May 8, with Price going up against Rob Cross in the first round.
