Bagpiper Matthew Bartlett met walkers at the top of the mountain

Around 300 people walked to the top of Twmbarlwm over the weekend, helping raise crucial funds for St David’s Hospice Care.

The five-mile walk began at 7pm on Saturday June 21, where walkers set off towards the summit of the 419-metre high hillfort to mark the summer solstice.

At the start of the hike, musician Anna Young played a range of songs, while bagpiper Matthew Bartlett welcomed walkers at the summit.

Participants aged 18 and over also received a can of Tiny Rebel craft beer.

The full amount raised during the challenge is yet to be revealed.
