The annual Poppy Appeal display on the banks of Caerphilly Castle

Every year, volunteers at the Royal British Legion’s Caerphilly branch come together to organise the town’s Poppy Appeal.

This year, the organisation is looking for more volunteers to help – with a Poppy Appeal organiser, and collectors, wanted.

The Royal British Legion raises money to support veterans and members of the Armed Forces community who have served their country.

The Caerphilly branch also organises the annual poppy display on the banks of Caerphilly Castle.

Every October and November, the charity relies on around 3,500 volunteers across the UK to organise its Poppy Appeal.

Anyone interested in volunteering with the Caerphilly branch this autumn can contact the branch by emailing Elaine Thomas on elaine.al.thomas@gmail.com
