A motorist has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a crash involving a car and a lorry.

The incident happened on Pant Road, Newbridge, at around 11.20am on Thursday August 21.

The 28-year-old man from Pontypool, who was driving the car, was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop, public order offences, and drink driving.

Gwent Police said minor injuries were reported following the crash, and enquiries are ongoing.
