A former club in Deri could be converted into a family home, new plans show.

The Old Club, in Bailey Street, could be transformed under new proposals by applicant Amy Allison.

Separate planning permission was already granted to a different applicant in March 2024 to split the club into two homes.

The new application instead proposes “a single, well-proportioned” family home with six-bedrooms, according to planning agents at Dell Designs Ltd.

They describe the club as “redundant” and argue the reuse of the property will be “appropriate and sympathetic” because the surrounding area is predominantly residential.

The club’s former public areas will be remodelled and bedrooms will be created on the upper floors, plans show.

The application is currently awaiting a decision, and can be viewed on the Caerphilly County Borough Council website under reference 25/0728/COU.
