Deri Primary School remains closed due to the icy weather, Caerphilly County Borough Council has confirmed.

The school was one of four which were closed yesterday (Monday January 5) due to the weather.

However, Idris Davies School in Abertysswg, Ysgol y Lawnt in Rhymney, and Y Cwmpawd Gilfach have all reopened.

Deri Primary’s closure comes following a risk assessment looking at safe access routes to the school, but the council said updates will be provided later today.

Visit the council’s website for more information about school closures.
