An 18-year-old man has died following a crash involving a car and a lorry.

The collision happened along the A468, between the Pwllypant and St Cenydd roundabouts in Caerphilly, at around 11.25pm on Thursday May 21.

The man, who was driving the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gwent Police, whose officers attended the incident, confirmed the man’s family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

Personnel from the Welsh Ambulance Service and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance.

Police enquiries are ongoing, and anyone with information – including dashcam or CCTV footage – is urged to contact the force on 101, or through direct message on social media, quoting log reference 2600159044.
