A 15-year-old aspiring performer from Penpedairheol has been selected to represent the Elite International All-Stars Performance Troupe, becoming the only young performer from Wales chosen for the programme this year.

Georgia Spinola-Scott, a Lewis School pupil, is one of just 20 performers worldwide to secure a place in the troupe.

Her selection follows a highly competitive audition process that attracted around 2,500 applicants worldwide.

Her selection marks another milestone for Welsh representation in the programme, as Georgia becomes only the fourth person from Wales ever to be chosen. She follows in the footsteps of her older sister, Alexis, making them the first siblings to be selected for the International All-Stars programme.

Future musical theatre star prepares for American tour

Georgia will begin her international tour in January 2027, travelling first to New York where she will take part in intensive training in dance, acting, and singing. Alongside rehearsals for multiple performances, she will have the opportunity to meet Broadway performers, attend theatre productions, and visit some of the city’s most iconic entertainment venues and filming locations.

The troupe will then travel to Atlanta, Georgia, to perform at the world-renowned Junior Theatre Festival, often described as the “Oscars of musical theatre”. The event attracts around 8,000 young performers, directors and industry professionals from across the globe and is filmed for aspiring musical theatre performers worldwide.

Georgia’s achievement comes after several years of dedication to musical theatre and performance. She has built an impressive portfolio of stage roles, including Wednesday Addams in The Addams Family, Meatloaf and Britney Spears in We Will Rock You, and Mr Wormwood in Matilda.

She has also performed at the Wales Millennium Centre as part of Stardust Youth Theatre’s Stars of Tomorrow production and has attended and performed at the Junior Theatre Festival in Birmingham, where she was awarded UK All-Star status for two consecutive years.

Georgia credits much of her development to opportunities provided by Stardust Youth Theatre, a free-to-attend community theatre group, as well as the drama and musical theatre department at Lewis School.

To help fund the opportunity, Georgia and her family have launched a GoFundMe campaign. The total cost of taking part in the programme exceeds £9,000, and they are seeking support to help make the life-changing experience possible.
