A community radio station covering Caerphilly County Borough might have to close because of financial difficulties.
Voice Radio, which is not-for-profit and based in Rhymney, has said it will have to close this week unless emergency funding can be found.
In a statement, Chris Williams, the youth and community engagement officer at the station, said: “Your community radio station Voice Radio is sadly due to close due to a lack of funding.
“We are in desperate need to raise funds until September when our education programme can once again be sold to schools and money will once again start to come in.
“If you can help with fund raising ideas or are a company that would like to sponsor us please contact 01685 844432,”
Established in 2006 by PC Dylan Jones with the support of Caerphilly County Borough Council and Gwent Police, the station went fully digital in January this year – the first community station to do so.
