A 32-year-old man from the Risca area has been killed in a road accident.

Gwent Police is appealing for information following the fatal accident in the early hours of Sunday morning (July 10).

At approximately 3am three men were walking along the B4598 Old Abergavenny to Raglan Road, in the direction of Chain Bridge.

As they turned onto Usk road one of the men was involved in a collision with a minibus. The 32-year-old pedestrian, from the Risca area, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the minibus did not suffer any injuries – there was no-one else on the minibus at the time.

The other two pedestrians were not involved in the collision.
