GCSE and A Level students can now get a taste of life inside Crumlin-bakery Brace’s, after the firm introduced a new work experience scheme.
Students are being invited to apply for the placements at the company’s headquarters where a full schedule of activities is available – from a day in the engineering and accounting departments to an early morning route with the transport department and media photoshoots with the PR team.
Scott Richardson, sales and marketing director at Brace’s, said: “At Brace’s we are very aware of how work experience can influence the standard of future personnel, can develop valuable recruitment links with colleges, universities and schools and also influence a potential career choice.
“To enhance our offer, every student on a placement with us is given the opportunity to sit a recognised Health and Safety qualification.
“Our placement programme will appeal to those with an interest in careers within the food market, manufacturing or more general business studies. While providing every student with an overview of all departments within the business, we will also tailor the week’s itinerary depending on where each student’s interest lies.”
