New insolvency manager for McAlister & Co’s Ystrad Mynach office

Insolvency practitioners McAlister & Co has appointed a key manager to work out of its Ystrad Mynach office.

Simon Barriball has joined the growing firm as an insolvency manager. His specialisms include helping small businesses overcome tough financial difficulties.

The 29-year-old will be based at McAlister’s Ystrad Mynach office and its Swansea headquarters.

An accountancy and finance graduate of Aberystwyth University, Mr Barriball has eight years of experience in business recovery.

He said: “I’m excited to be joining McAlister & Co; they’re a young firm with a real focus on business turnarounds and with great ambition to develop and grow.

“I know the MD, Sandra McAlister, really well having worked with her for several years from 2003. We have a profound mutual professional respect and I look forward to helping her drive the business forward.”

Sandra McAlister said: “We’re delighted to have Simon on board. He’s an ambitious insolvency practitioner with great drive and professionalism.”
