MEP’s European Funding Directory for Wales goes online

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 11:51, Wednesday August 31st, 2011.

Welsh Euro MP Derek Vaughan has published his European Funding Directory for Wales online.

Public, private and voluntary sector organisations in Wales can apply for funding from various European programmes to co-finance their projects. Since 2007, €1.9 billion has been allocated through Structural Funds to Welsh programmes.

Welsh Labour MEP Derek Vaughan said that some Welsh organisations could be missing out EU funds because of a lack of information about how to access them. As such he has created a directory.

The directory was originally launched back in July but the MEP has now published it online.

At the time of the original launch, he said: “This directory provides Welsh organisations with a practical guide to the various sources of European funding available to them, from Structural Funding to European Commission competitive programmes. It also includes tips on how to access funding programmes and links to Brussels and UK-based contacts that can assist in the application process.”

The directory can be viewed at www.derekvaughanmep.org.uk/eu-funding-directory
